Things were all good just a week ago, so it seemed. After the internet exploded with confusion, hilarious memes and general wtf-ery (yep, I made it up) at the deep sibling-in-law rage that Solange had unleashed upon Jay-Z in that hotel elevator, it seems that Bey may have been dropping hints via Instagram after the fight initially happened. The Met Gala was held May 5th, this photo was posted to Beyonce’s Instagram May 7th. Subliminal bible verse shade? Clearly something had disturbed Mrs Knowles-Carter down to her very soul and she needed some solace.
I would also like to point out how distant and even more on auto-pilot she looks in the pictures of her and Jay at the Nets’ May 10th game. I could very well be projecting my feelings on to this, but it looks like she couldn’t care any less about being there. You know that look when you’re not listening to a single thing that someone is saying. Her body language just seemed off.
According to Perez Hilton’s website, some insight may have been shed on the cause of the brawl.
Moments before the attack, we KNOW the sisters were having fun (except for the Rachel Roy scuffle), because an eyewitness revealed they were dancing with supermodel Naomi Campbell, while Jay looked on lovingly!
But then, some choice words set off Solange — and the insider confessed that she did not agree with whatever her brother-in-law said:
“Solange flipped out over something Jay had said, that she took the wrong way. She took it too hard or too far. Not sure what it was, but she greatly overreacted.”
And DING DING! The gloves were off, and Solange started swinging! Once the family departed from the enclosed area, the singer walked ahead of Beyonce and her hubby, who was photographed with a stunned expression.
The source confessed that both Jay and Bey are trying to move past the unfortunate exposed situation:
“Beyonce tried to stay out of it. She does not approve of violence. They are trying to put the situation past them now.”
Is that what that was, Beyonce disapproving of violence? Could’ve fooled us because it looked like she just didn’t want to deal with the situation. I’m just saying, even if you’d seen these fights before, why not stop it before it gets started? Wendy Williams of course gives her take.
