Cyberbully: Rihanna shamed adoring fan on Twitter

Rihanna knows she ain’t right.

Arguably one of the fiercest fandoms in the world, Rihanna’s Navy go hard for her all the time. You would think she’d be happy to see a recreation of one of her fashion moments. If imitation is supposed to be the sincerest form of flattery, consider RiRi not impressed. Alexis Carter, a 16-year-old Baltimore student was looking for something different to wear to her Hollywood-themed prom, so she turned to the pop star’s 2010 ensemble from the Echo Awards.

So excited, she had a family friend recreate the Alexandre Vauthier jumpsuit with pretty close accuracy. What happened next wasn’t at all what Alexis expected. “Everybody was saying, ‘Oh my god, I love it. It looks nice. Your body looks good. It’s different,'” Alexis told her local news station. Despite the accolades from classmates, her pictures started circulating the internet with the hashtag #PromBat attached. Rihanna also joined in.

Not the Wu-Tang symbol! Wu-Tang Clan ain’t nun’ to f-ck with…
Ought to be ‘shamed…

“I was very offended,” Alexis said about Rihanna’s Twitter jabs. “Why throw shade on it when you had on the exact same thing? The poses was different but the outfit wasn’t. She don’t love her fans like she says she does.”

She clicked the “Unfollow” button on that one. What do you think? Was it good-natured teasing or downright mean?
