Fans of VH1’s Hit the Floor are still reeling at the loss of one of the show’s stars, Stephanie Moseley, who cops say died at the hands of her husband, Earl Hayes on Monday before he then killed himself.
According to TMZ, law enforcement was called to a high-end apartment complex after neighbors reported hearing a woman screaming and multiple gunshots. The SWAT team arrived to break down the door and found both Hayes and Moseley dead.
Hayes, a rapper formerly signed to Floyd Mayweather’s record label and a member of the Money Team, had accused his wife of an affair with Trey Songz. Two years ago, during a separation period, he said Stephanie had a fling with the R & B singer and he never really moved on despite the pair reconciling.
TMZ also reports that Floyd Mayweather was actually on FaceTime with Earl, who called him in a very volatile state, talking about killing his wife. He tried to talk his friend down, but ended up a witness to the murder and subsequent suicide of his best friend.
We can’t imagine the difficulty he’s having dealing with this tragedy.
Moseley was a back up dancer who worked with the likes of Usher, Chris Brown, Beyoncé and Britney Spears.
