If the story about Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore and the (seemingly) betrayal she went through her Millionaire Matchmaker boo James Freeman didn’t exactly make sense, this could be the reason why…
Last week, Kenya became the butt of a dating joke when she found out that her boyfriend, James married someone else just weeks after their episode of Bravo’s Millionaire Matchmaker aired. It appeared that the two were still dating up until she released a statement via her Instagram.
A source spoke to RadarOnline and claimed that the “relationship” between Kenya and James only lasted three dates before he moved on. So that ring she posted on Instagram that she insinuated was an engagement ring was actually a fake (and she deleted the photo soon after.) James’ wife, Jaimi Gregory said it shouldn’t have been a surprise because Kenya knew he was with someone else.
“James was on Millionaire Matchmaker in September and I met him in December. We met on Match.com and three months later we were engaged,” she told Radar exclusively. “Then on Good Friday, April 3, 2015 we got married. We just knew right away that we were in love.”
Gregory told Radar that Freeman “totally forgot he even did the show and so when the commercials started airing he told me all about it.”
“He said he went on two or three dates after the show aired with Kenya,” she claimed. “He told me they just kissed and nothing else. He said she just wasn’t the right person for her, but he wished her the best.”
…“Kenya wrote to him saying that they should celebrate since their ratings were so high,” she said. “But he told her that he had met someone and fell in love so it wasn’t appropriate for him to talk with her anymore.”
Kenya was so embarrassed that she apparently threatened to sue the network and Patti, the matchmaker, but was talked down off the judicial ledge because it wasn’t in her pocketbook’s best interest.
Maybe she sensed her time was almost up on RHOA and needed a quick publicity fiasco to secure her next check, but we hope that she finds what she’s looking for somewhere.
What do you think about the fake engagement?
