Sometimes, you just have to do you and focus on yourself. That’s exactly what Kimora Lee Simmons is doing. The mom to new baby Wolfe and wife of Tim Lessiner announced earlier today her departure from fashion retailer Just Fab, which she joined in 2012.
Via Instagram, she posted:
“I’m happy to share with you that I have decided to step away from JustFab and focus on my own business and philanthropic ventures. I look forward to the many exciting aspects of this new chapter in my life, growing my family and investing in new innovative businesses in the fields of fashion, entertainment, consumer goods and technology.”
According to Women’s Wear Daily, the mogul is opening her first KLS Kimora Lee Simmons store in Los Angeles with luxury brand consultant, Jacqui Wenzel at the helm.
“Wenzel worked to launch Ports 1961 in New York before and has more recently run her own consulting group working with emerging brands such as Misha Nonoo and Ji Oh.
“Kimora herself played in a big role in convincing me [to take the job],” Wenzel said. “She was very inspiring. I’d never met her before I came into the meeting, and I was completely taken up by all her plans.” Wenzel will be overseeing wholesale, which the company has yet to launch, and retail which is in the short-term. The first KLS store is set to open on Beverly Drive in Los Angeles in about four weeks if all goes according to plan. “
